IBikeLondon Parks and Rivers Ride Nov 3rd

IBikeLondon Parks and Rivers Ride Nov 3rd

So, we hope everybody had their porridge and eggs before they set off on our Parks and Rivers ride! A good mix of riders on all types of bikes accompanied us in some rather pleasant November weather for our ride through parks and alongside the River Thames.

First park was our starting point, Hyde Park – next to the big man Achilles – where we had our route explained and a little time for cyclists to mingle.

ome *ahem* members of the Cyclehoop team were a little late, but this gave everyone else plenty of time to take advantage of the photo opportunities – in particular the indefatigable London Brompton Club

After photos were taken, pleasantries exchanged, maps handed out, – and our very fetching IBikeLondon badges handed out to every member of the ride – we finally set off!

The group cycled along Kensington High Street, holding our own with the London traffic – and easing through the gridlock around Hammersmith, before heading down to Richmond Park (for a bit of hill and deer spotting)

We then headed back up north alongside the River Thames towards Hammersmith. Most opted to follow the main route along the riverside path, and bar a few bumpy moments, the wide paths and river views allowed for a very relaxing ride along the Thames.

Thank you once again to everybody who came along and made it a great day out. You can see all photos uploaded on our facebook page, in the Parks and Rivers ride photo album

If you missed this ride, don’t worry – we have other rides in the IBikeLondon pipeline, so look out for updates on the next one!
